At ML Interior Design, our Initial Design Consult is the first step towards creating a cohesive, functional and timeless home that reflects your personality and lifestyle.
What is an Initial Design Consult?
Your Initial Design Consult is a one on one session with Melissa Lunardon, founder and head interior designer of ML Interior Design. It’s the perfect opportunity to discuss your project in detail, whether you’re building a new home, renovating or furnishing your home.
Together, we’ll explore your design vision, layout, and inspiration, and talk through how involved you’d like us to be in your project. This initial meeting ensures we fully understand your brief so we can create a clear scope of works and transparent design fees.
By investing in a professional design consultation upfront, you’ll save valuable time, money, and stress down the track.
What We’ll Cover During Your Consult
During your consult, we’ll:
-Walk through your home (or review your floor plans) to assess the layout and space.
-Discuss your vision, style direction, and inspiration.
-Talk about your goals, budget expectations, and preferred timeframes.
-Identify what’s working, what’s not, and what you’d love to improve.
-Share practical design advice, ideas, and suggestions for your renovation or new build.
Our aim is to help you feel inspired and confident about your home’s potential and to show you how our interior design services can support you from start to finish.
After Your Consult
Within 48 hours, you’ll receive a personalised Welcome Pack, including:
-Your tailored scope of works
-Our design process and timeframes
-A detailed proposal outlining your design fees
If you choose to move forward, your consult fee is fully credited towards your design proposal. From there, our team begins designing your dream home.
How to Prepare for Your Consult
To make the most of your consult, spend a little time gathering ideas, screenshots, magazine clippings or Pinterest boards are perfect. Think about:
-How you want your home to feel
-The styles or finishes you’re drawn to
-What’s working (and what isn’t) in your current space
-We’ll chat about your budget, priorities, and timeline so we can tailor our design recommendations to suit your needs.
Your Investment
Your 90-minute Initial Design Consult is priced at $350.
If you proceed with a full design proposal, this fee will be credited towards your project.
